Barbie is way to skinny
Yes I believe that Barbie is to skinny, no matter what you say, if your body was like Barbie in real life you would just tip over because your proportions are so off. Barbie is measured out to be 5’9 “tall, 39” bust, 18” waist, 33” hips, size 3 shoe and would weigh 110 pounds. Get real, Barbie is WAY too skinny to even stand up straight. Her feet are too small to hold up her body, her bust is too big for her little hips and her height and weight would make her anorexic.
So think about it, if you say that Barbie is not to skinny then you’re saying that you’re not too skinny if you anorexic … think about it that way! If Barbie is so “normal” then you would be concluding that it’s fine to be too small. So yes Barbie IS too skinny.
I understand that Barbie manufacturing has tried to make her a more role model person but she will always be the same tiny measurements and no matter how many veterinarian, police, and doctor outfits they put her in she is still INSANLY SMALL. Not only is Barbie an abnormally small person, but in the past she has been portrayed as a fun loving teen, and she wasn’t always portrayed as a responsible one
Now I’m not some Barbie hater that goes around stealing Barbie’s from little kids, but I’m also not for kids starving themselves to look like their “role model”. Barbie is a skinny anorexic, piece of plastic, so why would a plastic person be your role model?!?! That’s why I don’t think that Barbie is a role model and is WAYY to skinny!

The best of 2008!

2008 was a great year new records, stars and memories. Phelps to Spears this year’s stars have certainly made their marks. From the gold’s of the Olympics to the comeback kids of entertainment, 2008 was most defiantly an exciting year. Top ten lists of movies, music and plays and my opinions about this year’s amazing, interesting and just flat out funny events.
Music
This year was loaded with TONS of new music stars and styles. Although they were not always my favorites here is the top ten list of music from 2008. Beyonce single ladies was number one because not only is it a very up to beat fun song but it is a great song to sing and dance along to. Beyonces new album I am… Sasha Fierce came out and not even a week later was a top selling album of 2008. With many great songs it has made the top ten list of music for 2008!

Billy Eliot came out later in the year but mad a HUGE impact early on. It’s about a young boy who notices his true passion to dance while the rest of the little boys wish to box and fight. This musical is to Elton John’s legendary music and sells out night after night!

As if this want enough the Beijing Olympics began 8/8/08 and like we could ever forget our MANY gold medals brought home. But for me one of the biggest events this year was the Phillies World Series victory, as a lifelong fan this made my year and many others! This year the famous and very adored Jonas Brothers made their big debut and became teen idols to almost every girl in America! With their hit songs and multiple albums already out they are headed for even more success in 2009! Americas comeback kid, Britney spears herself, as she started her year off just a little bumpy she eventually cleaned up her act and came out with her new hit single womanizer! 2008 was a great year with great memories and will never be forgotten!

As my day in new York went on I noticed something, homelessness, streets and streets of people that don’t have homes. I know that the perfect person would help them, give them food, but no body’s perfect and especially a 7th grader. People talk about the fact that people should do something to help but in all honesty there is no way that its ever going to help EVERYONE I’m being honest and in my opinion, yes the cans of food that we get each year at school help the people that receive them. But that chances that a homeless person in New York is going to get help from some random person walking the streets is, well 0 to none. Well what I’m trying to say is that no matter what our world will never be perfect and we can’t always expect it to be! So when we help people by building houses and collecting food we are getting pretty close to a world where ALMOST everyone is happy and well that’s as far as we are going to be able to get to perfection.
